It can hardly be overemphasized how differently the think tools work for different people. My own usage profile is probably best characterized as follows: more visual than verbal, and tools seen more as instruments rather than as assistant.

I write here about tools like instruments, not tools like prostheses. Not about the pleasure to own a powerful assistant who does my work upon pressing a button, but about the pleasure of scaling my reach with ease and performing my actions in large numbers.
